It’s been 6 years since my last blog, such a milestone as it was “Farewell 2015“. I’m grateful for the last 6 years, to be honest. Of course, I stopped blogging because I found someone to share my life with and yes, I’m back to this blog because as a human, I have the need to address my feeling daily after we broke up. I appreciate our 6 years together and wish all the happiness to his life forwards.
2021 was a bad year, for many of us. We faced tough challenges and forced ourselves to get over or sink in a feeling of miserable emotions. There was no chance for the last meet, for the prayed incense to state our last goodbye. I know many of us are dealing with the Wuhan pandemic. Please accept my sincere condolences to you, your family, and your beloved friends for all the loss.
It’s the last day of 2021, I’m doing reflection to see how good, bad, and ugly I am throughout the last 365 days. So far, I removed all the blued memories as much as possible and realized that I did have a good year instead. At the age of 33, while my friends are busy with their kids and struggling with adult’ problems, I’m seeing myself in the wonderland of joy for every single moment. I’m the lucky man!
- I changed my scope to a new position, new department, and new challenges. I’ve learned that the grass on every hills are the same green, either you take it or leave it. If everything is too good, it’s a trap :D
- I taught 15 classes in total 35.5 hours for 221 learners in the year. Such a teacherest man (Oanh and Hoso must laugh out loud on my face if they read this).
- I reached my 10 Years Services Award at Intel – could not believe that they still have not fired me yet, hold my breath haha. And I won the “Global Finalist Awards for GDIAA” but again, no body in XuongMay know what the heck is that.
- I read 26 books in 2021 which I committed 12. In fact, I got a Kindle Gen 10th and reading now is a pleasure for me as there is no need to carry the heavy book around or during travel *thumb up*.
- I did many slow runs for a total of 208kms and donated myself 548 miles (equals $137 to WWF) while my team on Charity Miles hit 6,961 miles (equals $1,740 donation to the earth). Kudos everyone!
- Even people named 2021 as quarantined year, I did move my ass around and have chances to visit my hometown in Binh Phuoc to meet my grandpa the last time in his life during Spring; then climb and camp on the peak of Gia Lao mount in Autumn, and lastly have almost a week in Da Nghit this December just trekking around the pines hills and hidden streams.
In just the next couple of hours, we gonna farewell 2021 once and forever. The quote I learned from Good Riddance since I was 20 still remains its meaning “It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right. I hope you had the time of your life.“. In those days I got a positive result for the Wuhan virus, there was only one top priority to survive is keep breathing, and when it’s over, finally, I did many reflections just to realize that the most important is to be alive – to enjoy the moment I exist and be a kind piece in the life of every person that I’ve met.
There will a day that I’m gone as we’re all made of stardust, and sooner nobody gonna remember about me: a smile-all-the-time guy who ignores sadness and keep moving forward for goodnesses. I take a moment now just to remember my friends – who passed away and living in the forever-young-land. [HN. Phuoc Trung] [Toan Duong] [Tam Jojo] [Pe Dau] [NQ. Ngoc Bieu]. Hope that you guys are okay, stay safe, and smile because you’re so lucky not to suffer this 2021 like us.
‘Till the day we meet again.
